Harlem’s Hot Spot
Went to Red Rooster in Harlem the other night. Hands down one of the coolest places I have ever been.
The food was outstanding and the people eating there were just as intriguing. I swear, everyone in the restaurant looked like they just walked right off the runway.
Here is what our meal looked like:
Started with salmon and fluke ceviche avocado tacos and tostadas
Then had some cornbread with a side of honey butter and this incredible tomato jam that had curry leaves and currants in it (LOVED this stuff)
Star of the show…Harlem Chowder for two. Please please please get this. The amount of beautiful fresh seafood in this dish was just outstanding… scallops, lobster, clams, and mussels, served in one of the best mussel broths I have ever had. Also came served with toasted bread, baby fennel and delicious little potatoes.
Great experience. Please go and make sure you get tickets for the live music events that happen downstairs. This place it HOT!
