You all have to come and check it out! It’s an awesome excuse to play outside, eat great food and meet some fun new characters. Baron Ambrosia, G. Garvin and myself (Eden from Eden Eats) will be hanging out, eating and having a great time.
If you cant make it to Brooklyn this Saturday, there will be more pop-up fun in some other great cities.

A new Eden Eats fan asked me how to make it and where to get the ingredients, so I decided to come up with a stress-free DIY recipe.
This is what you’ll need: pre-made pizza dough (I got mine from Whole Foods for $3.00), 2% Greek strained yogurt, za’atar spice mixture (you can order this online. I got mine from Dual Specialty Store), extra-virgin olive oil, cheese cloth, and a medium-sized bowl. Not pictured that you’ll also need: lemon, kalamata olives, fresh tomatoes, kosher salt.
To start: turn the oven on as high as it can go and place a baking tray in the oven to heat.
Empty the Greek yogurt onto a couple pieces of layered cheese cloth. Tie and hang on a shelf in the fridge over a bowl for 2-5 hours to let the liquid strain out (you want a pretty dry yogurt). When it has thickened, squeeze in fresh lemon juice to get a good sour flavor.
Flour a large work space and place dough on top. Cut the dough into equal pieces…it can be as big or as small as you like. I prefer them a little smaller for dinner parties but when alone…bake off a fatty! :)
Roll the dough to a quarter inch thick (doesn’t have to be perfect…I prefer mine to be rustic and all different shapes and sizes). Dock the dough all over with a fork so that it bakes evenly (this means poke holes all over).
Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil into 6 tablespoons of za’atar spice mix. Spread a generous amount of the za’atar mixture over the top of the pita. Sprinkle with kosher salt all over. . Take the hot tray out of the oven..be careful! Then, place the pita directly on the hot tray and put immiediately back into the oven. Bake on high for 5 minutes checking on it so it doesn’t burn. Take out when golden on the bottom and a little on the edges, then place on a cooling rack (see below).
When cooled spread on the strained yogurt and garnish with kalamata olives and freshly sliced tomatoes.
